HELPFUL TIPS:

Landscaping in South Texas during the hotter months can be challenging due to the extreme heat and drought conditions. Here are some helpful tips to ensure a thriving landscape:
1. Choose Drought-Tolerant plants
-Native plants: Opt for plants that are native to South Texas, such as Texas sage, yucca, and lantana, which are well adapted to the hot, dry climate.
-Succulents and Cacti: Consider using succulents and cacti that store water and require minimal maintenance.
2.Efficient Watering Practices
-Water early or late: water plants early in the in morning or late in the evening to reduce evaporation and ensure the water reaches the roots.
-Deep watering: Water deeply but less frequently to encourage deeper root growth, making plants more drought resistant.
-Drip irrigation: Use drip irrigation systems to deliver water directly to the base of the plants, reducing waste and evaporation.
3. Mulch to Retain Moisture
-Apply mulch: Use a thick layer of mulch around plants to retain moisture, reduce soil temperature, and suppress weed growth.
-Organic Mulch: Consider organic mulches like bark or compost, which can also improve soil fertility as they decompose.
Why is it important to work with a company that is insured?
-This protects the customer from any unforeseen accidents that may occur.
-This lets the customer know they are working with a legitimate company and that all parties are protected.
4.Soil Health Management
-Improve Soil Quality: Incorporate organic matter into the soil to enhance its water retention capacity and fertility.
-Test Soil: Conduct soil tests to determine nutrient needs to adjust soil pH if necessary for optimal plant growth.
5. Heat-Tolerant Fertilizers

- Select fertilizers that are designed for hot climates, and avoid over-fertilizing, which can stress plants.
Implementing these tips can help maintain a healthy and attractive landscape even during the hottest months in South Texas.
